Online Public Health Degree Overview
Our online Bachelor of Arts in Public Health is designed for people with a passion for health advocacy and promoting social change. Once you’ve earned your public health degree, you’ll be ready to share your knowledge and better the lives of people in your community. Your public health degree opens the door to better-paying jobs, gives you the academic foundation for the Certified Health Education Specialist exam, and prepares you to pursue a graduate degree.
The good news about public health jobs? The public health field is growing. In fact, according to the peer-reviewed American Journal of Public Health, 26% of all public health workers were eligible for retirement in 2016, and the Bureau of Labor Statistics says that public health employment will grow 16% by 2024. “We often talk about the economic payoff of a college education, about the job it will get you, the money you’ll make. Maybe, though, we need to think differently about the stakes, to view our educational divides in public-health terms.” -The Chronicle of Higher Education
