Accountancy

The online Master of Science in Accountancy (MSA) prepares you for success on the CPA exam and gives you the advanced tools you need for a career in public accounting. Both the College of Business and Economics and the Department of Accountancy are AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) accredited, putting them in the top tier of business schools and accountancy programs worldwide.

A good fit if you have:

  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting from a regionally accredited university in the United States. Students with a non-accounting degree must have at least 18 semester credits in upper-division accounting courses and at least 15 semester credits in other business courses.   • Cumulative undergraduate GPA ≥ 3.0 (4.0 scale)
  • GMAT exam score ≥ 500 OR GRE exam score of at least 152 for both verbal reasoning and quantitative reasoning sections

Adult Gerontology Nurse Practitioner

The online, CCNE accredited, Adult Gerontology Nurse Practitioner program (AGNP) prepares you to be an advanced practice nurse who specializes in the care and treatment of individuals from adolescence to death, excluding the care of pregnant women.

A good fit if you have:

  • A baccalaureate degree in nursing from a CCNE or ACEN (formerly NLNAC) accredited nursing program
  • English proficiency (written & spoken)
  • Undergraduate GPA of 3.0 computed using upper-division credits from the last half of undergraduate nursing courses (If applicable, a 3.0 GPA in previous graduate program courses)
  • Completed both an undergraduate statistics course and an undergraduate research course within the last five years with a grade of “C” or better
  • Met the National Council of State Boards of Nursing (NCSBN) functional abilities essential for nursing practice

Business Administration

The Online Master of Business Administration program offers the depth of knowledge required for success in an increasingly complex global work environment. This program is designed for the early and mid-career professional who values a high-quality program of study.

A good fit if you have:

  • A bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited university
  • Have an undergraduate GPA of 3.00 or better
  • Achieve a minimum score of 500 on the GMAT or 147/148 on the GRE
  • Have at least two years of significant, full-time management experience showing management of people, budgets, or customer accounts, or professional experience such as a licensed Professional Engineer or CPA

Early and Special Education

The Master of Education in Early & Special Education at Boise State University is committed to providing professional development opportunities that result in highly qualified special educators. The program is designed for experienced professionals who seek advanced knowledge and skills in the field of early childhood intervention and special education. Such professionals may be employed as early childhood interventionists, K-12 special education teachers or they may work with or on behalf of children with disabilities and their families in community or agency settings.

  • Experience with and/or a commitment to working with children who have disabilities

Educational Technology

We currently offer two master’s degrees programs in Educational Technology: Master of Educational Technology (M.E.T.) and Master of Science in Educational Technology (M.S.E.T.)

Both programs are fully online, allowing you to study where ever you have internet access and whatever time of day fits your needs.

A good fit if you have:

  • A bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited university
  • Have an undergraduate GPA of 3.00 or better
  • GRE scores that meet or exceed the 33rd percentile on Verbal, Quantitative, and Analytical portions of the exam (applies to M.S.E.T only)

Organizational Performance and Workplace Learning

The Online Organizational Performance and Workplace Learning (OPWL) program focuses on topics specific to corporate, governmental, and military organizations and emphasizes issues surrounding Human Performance Technology.

A good fit if you have:

  • A bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited university
  • A cumulative GPA of 3.0 for all undergraduate credits, or a 3.0 GPA for the last 60 credits of undergraduate course work.
  • Appropriate background experience and fit between your career goals and what the OPWL program offers.

Social Work

The Online Master of Social Work (MSW) is designed to prepare students for advanced social work practice with individuals and families. Students learn clinical, organizational, policy, and administrative skills necessary for promoting social justice and equality, and enhancing the quality of life for all people.

A good fit if you have:

  • A bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited university
  • A cumulative GPA of 3.0 for all undergraduate credits, or a 3.0 GPA for the last 60 credits of undergraduate course work.

Teaching

The Online Master in Teaching in Special Education and the Master in Teaching in Early Childhood Intervention are the only graduate programs in Idaho that make it possible for you to earn both a Master’s Degree in Teaching and initial certification over four academic semesters.
