About the Online Master of Social Work Program


  • ONLINE SOCIAL WORK DEGREE OVERVIEW

    With a Master of Social Work (MSW) you can be the change. Not only will you be equipped to make a difference, but jobs in the social work field are predicted to grow by 9% by 2024. Your Online MSW degree poises you to advance your career while learning clinical, organizational and policy skills necessary for promoting social justice and equality. The Online MSW can be completed in two years for only $450 per credit and is accredited by the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE).

    ONLINE SOCIAL WORK DEGREE HIGHLIGHTS

    • 61 semester credits after a bachelor’s degree
    • Can be completed in 2 years as a full-time student; part-time study also available
    • $450 per credit hour and no out-of-state tuition
    • Coordinated fieldwork enables you to complete an internship in your area
    • 37-credit Advanced Standing option available for those with a BSW
    • No GRE requirement

  • Admissions Requirements

    To qualify for this program you must have the following:

    • Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution
    • Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher during the last two years of academic study or an overall undergraduate GPA of 3.0 or higher
    • Also Available: Advanced Standing program for applicants that hold a bachelor’s degree awarded within the last 5 years from a CSWE-accredited school, or within the last 10 years but also have significant post-BSW social work practice experience.

      International Students: Due to visa restrictions, international students currently living outside the United States or in the United States on any visa are not eligible for admission to this program.

  • Program Curriculum

    You can finish your Online Master’s of Social work degree in as little as 24 months at full-time status. That means less cost and a faster path to advancing your career. If you have a bachelor’s in social work, you qualify for Advanced Standing, which allows you to earn your master’s degree in just 12 months. The degree is fully online, and both Regular and Advanced Standing offer full- and part-time options–you can choose the option that best fits your life.

    Curriculum Highlights

    • Full- and part-time schedules are available
    • 24 months to completion for full-time enrollment at Regular Standing (61 credits)
    • 12 months to completion for full-time enrollment at Advanced Standing (37 credits)
